Dec 18, 2017 - How do games that are split up into multiple.pkg files behave during installation? I finished installing a custom CFW on my N3DS for the first time. The older cell and rsx processes and PS2 hardware consume so much energy. Some games and DLC you find won't include raps and instead include.
Fake sealed games will most likely come in some type of heat shrink wrap. Often times the resealed games will come in home made shrink wrap may look a little messy and pointy at the edges instead of the factory sealed y-fold.
However, some stores do have a secondary market and sell the games in the shrink wrap they have. In this case, it looks perfectly normal, except for the fact that there is no white seal at the top. All in all, if there is no white seal at the top, it is not a first generation factory sealed item.
If you cannot see from the picture, I would ask the seller before buying the item. Also ask him if he reshrinkwrapped the item. I've been buying sealed ps2 games and noticed that many of the older ps2 games released had security strips in their seal on the very top of the case.
I know that the newer ps2 games were factory sealed without the security strips like ps3 games. So, im just wondering how to spot a fake seal on a game that was released without security strips in the seal.
For fake illegal bootlegged / pirated games, just look at what instantivideogames has in his inventory, and avoid it like the plague! Seriously though, there maybe tell tale ways of identifying a fake/pirated/bootleg game pack by closely examining the game pack itself. But be aware that software pirates have gotten very sophisticated to try and make even the packaging look as authentic as they possibly can. Pay attention to the graphics, logos, upc codes, and any seals of authenticity and make sure that they are all genuine. Also if the printed descriptions seem like they are written in poor broken English (as most of these bootlegged fake material originally come from the greater China area), then the game pack is possibly a fake.
Once you open the game pack, it will become more obvious as the manual will be short with more poorly written english and will generally comprise of basic game function and controls only. The game disc itself won't have the holographic 'rings' a genuine game disc should have, and you may also see even more altered graphics design with yet more fake logos, seals, etc. Here is the deal on ps2 games. When they are a very first run factory sealed game, they have a very neat Y fold seal on all 4 corners and have a white security strip. Then over time the games dropped the security strip, but still have the Y fold seal.
If there is NO Y fold, then it's a RESEAL. No if ands or butts. I know some of the big time sellers on ebay say their games are new, but if it not one of the 2 above, then it did NOT come from the factory that way. YES stores will reseal a game. I have a couple of games that have the White security strip, but the plastic is a store reseal, because most likely the original fell off and they resealed it. So to repeat, if it is NOT one of the 2 above, then it is NOT a factory sealed new game. Examples of value and a true collector will know.
Game 1 Y fold seals + Security strip will go for premium + Game 1 Y fold seals no security strip will go for premium Game 1 security strip. (a game with a security strip and shrink wrap is at the same desireabilily as a security strip w/o any plastic on it.) At this point the shrink wrap's only value is protecting it from dust. Game 1 Shrink wrap only (Don't let anyone fool you, a shrink wrapped game has NO, NONE, NEVER, any more value than an opened game. This also applies to ALL ps1 games, MOST xbox games, except for games released with an orange 'DO NOT SELL BEFORE' sticker at the top where it IS shrinkwrapped or any box set games, where it is shrink wrapped. All ps3 games come from the factory with a Y fold seal, unless it's the collector's edition. I COLLECT PS3 GAMES AND IF IT DOES NOT HAVE THE Y FOLD SEALS, I WON'T BUY THEM, IT'S NOT FACTORY AND YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PASS THEM OFF TO A COLLECTOR AS FACTORY seal, unless it's a collector's edition, then I will check for nice and thick plastic.
As I said before. I will NEVER add a game that is a ps1, ps2 OR ps3 that does NOT have the Y fold seals to my collection. I have a case of factory sealed PS3 final fantasy games and they all have the Y fold seals. Don't let me be the expert, go to Walmart and find Final Fantasy for the PS3, then target, then Kmart, then wherever notice they will all have Y folds.
You might notice a 1 off here and there that has shrink wrap, why? Because it was opened or returned or the wrapper fell off or someone pulled it off and the store rewrapped it. Instantvideogames wrote: You seem to think you know a lot about a game you have never bought wholesale.
No, I don't think they are pumping those out of the factory now, I know for a fact they are they are pumping those out of the factory now, in shrink wrap. How do I know? The cases have a date on manufacture on them.
Do you have any idea how many of those sell? I am but a pimple on the butt of Video Game sales, and I sell at least 50 of those per month. What jrindahl says makes sense in regards to the PS1 Final Fantasy titles (again note, it's the PS1 FF games we're talking about here, not PS2 or PS3). There is no way that SquareEnix currently makes PS1 titles anymore! If you've been selling 50 of these a month, as you claim, and they are infact in shrinkwrap, then they've been re-wrapped by your distributor, or someone that your distributor gets it from (or someone before that). Of course, the other (and even more plausible scenario) is that these are not made by SquareEnix at all, but by a pirated manufacturer! That would explain the recent manufacturing dates on their cases as well.
I kind of had the feeling that you're a pirated game seller all along, instantvidegames. I guess, this just proves it! There is no way that SquareEnix currently makes PS1 titles anymore! What amazes me is that people can be so committed to an idea just because it 'makes sense', regardless of evidence to the contrary. Notice that Amazon themselves sell PS1 FF games, a ton of them.
Do you think Amazon purchases bootlegs too? And Square Enix allows them to get away with it? These FF games were released 12 years ago. Square Enix made so many that 12 years later there are still some left?
When these games were released, Square Enix did not even exist. The originals were made by SquareSoft, and they say so on the cover. A company called Enix merged with SquareSoft to form Square Enix. Square Enix manufactures brand new copies of 5 FF games and Chrono Cross. The reason I sell a lot of them is because demand is still high.
The reason Square Enix still makes them is because demand is still high. Why do people debate this with zero evidence? Why not just call or email Square Enix and ask them? Or maybe you should go to a trade show and walk over to the Square Enix table and ask the sales rep why those pirated games are displayed on their table?
First of all, save the history lesson, as I know all about Sqaure and Enix. The original Final Fanatsy titles for the NES / Famicom were made by Square Ltd. (even before they became Squaresoft), and the original DragonQuest / Dragon Warrior games were made by Enix at the same time.
I own these games in mint and complete condition as part of my games collection. As for your pic, Showing a couple of boxes with shipping labels that can be PHOTOSHOPPED / MADE UP is hardly evidence of anything. Why don't you show 'THE ACTUAL GAME CASES THAT HAS THE MANUFACTURING DATES ON THEM' as you claim? Lucky, I said cases in post 11, I did not say game cases. We both buy games by the case, but when I say 'case' I mean a box of 12.
I wrongly assumed that everyone knows that an individual game case never has a manufacture date, but a 'case' of games always has the manufacture date. (and possibly FF7 games, since they're PS1 games too) I have no idea what the reason is, but SquareEnix does not still make FF7, which is why it is so expensive. Those are not shipping labels as you reffered to them. They are inventory labels. Did you notice there is no address? See where it says '4 Inner'?
If you scan the barcode, it registers the game sku and a quantity of 4. 'Inner' because three of those boxes come in a case of 12. The case of 12 is marked '12 Master', and when you scan that barcode, it registers the sku and 12 units. Inventory labels, try to keep up. I may take another photo in an attempt to shut you up, but I doubt it will work.
